The institution traces its beginnings to August 13, 1970, through Order No. 57 R of the State Committee for Vocational and Technical Education and the Moldovan Republican Association, under the initial name Vocational School No. 12. Its original purpose was to train qualified workers for agricultural and vegetable-growing farms. Agricultural enterprises such as “Stoianovca”, “Chișiniovschi”, “Varnița”, and others were assigned as partner enterprises.
Throughout its activity, the school went through a series of restructurings. On July 20, 1984, according to Order No. 70, School No. 12 was reorganized into School 47. In 1990, the school was restructured into Branch 45, and on August 20, 1997, according to Government Decision of the Republic of Moldova No. 795, it was renamed School of Trades No. 4.
The latest reorganization took place in 2015 as part of the vocational and technical education reform carried out by the Ministry of Education with the support of the European Union. The school was transformed from a School of Trades into a Vocational School, which opened up new development prospects.
The institution specializes in the fields of services and agriculture. It trains specialists in the following trades: cook, confectioner, cashier controller, seller, food products seller, floriculturist, and beekeeper.
